1. What key issues define your campaign platform?

My campaign has three priorities: 1) Transit 2) Affordable housing 3) Green, public space

2. Why are you the best candidate for this position?
I’ve always been passionate about my area – after all, I was born and raised here. I feel I can bring a fresh perspective to our city politics. My opponents have made their living off of the status quo, whereas I bring a new outlook to how we manage our city. As well, I think having more young people on council can only change our city for the better. City hall needs a youth advocate, and I plan to fill that role on the next council.

3. What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
I would ensure the Transit City plan proceeds as originally envisioned – most especially the Eglinton Crosstown light rapid transit – so that Toronto could have a modern, efficient transit network that connects the whole city.
I would also ensure the city makes more affordable housing units available immediately, while working to make home ownership a possibility for thousands of families living month-to-month.

4. Please provide details on your personal bio.
I was born and raised in our ward, near the intersection of Davisville Avenue and Yonge Street. I’m a proud alumni of Davisville Elementary. I’m a recent graduate of Ryerson University with a degree in communications. I currently work as a communications consultant and designer.

5. Who do you plan to support for mayor?
Like the majority of the city, I’m undecided. All of the candidates bring something to the table that I like.
Joe Pantalone is a consensus builder. He offers the municipal experience we need in a mayor.
Rocco Rossi is an excellent manager and, though I may disagree with some of his ideas, you can’t say he doesn’t have vision.
George Smitherman is a fighter and would protect Toronto’s interests while passionately promoting the city.
Sarah Thompson understands the importance of social justice issues such as affordable housing, and has creative solutionsto addressing these problems
