Ward 27 (Toronto Centre-Rosedale)
![]() |
One of the few certainties in Ward 27 (Toronto Centre-Rosedale) is that the community will have new representation in the fall.
Incumbent councillor Kyle Rae has decided not to run for re-election, opening the race to a lengthy slate of hopefuls.
Toronto Centre-Rosedale houses a large swath of the downtown core as well as the glitzier Rosedale and Deer Park communities.
The downtown core has seen several larger development applications in recent years as part of a mandated intensification, making development a key issue in the upcoming election.
Other key issues include safety and community supports in the south end of the ward and the retention of community character in the north end.
