CAMPAIGN MANAGER:
—————————————————————–
What key issues define your campaign platform?
* Cost containment; getting a bigger bang for our City’s significant purchasing powers; setting an example for other Council members in my words and actions, to pursue a more thrifty and sensible approach when it comes to spending Taxpayer’s dollars; balance the budget this year and for the next four years (what’s wrong with running a surplus).
* Pursue a more people friendly approach for those who prefer walking, cycling and public transit over driving
* Take an active role in encouraging our young people to be the best they can be, through volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
* Keep an open mind; be a good listener; ask lots of questions; and contribute significant, sustainable value to the process, at all times.
* Always vigourously pursue environmentally conscious approaches to solving our problems.
* Always advocate enthusiastically and assertively for what represents our Taxpayers best interests.
Why are you the best candidate for this position?
I possess a burning desire to genuinely serve the collective best interests of Ward 28 Taxpayers; formidable, professional business skills, and an extensive exposure to Municipal affairs.
I have engaged in numerous community volunteer initiatives; I am a good listener, questioner, trust-builder and team player; I connect well with a broad range of personality types, knowing instinctively how to adapt my negotiating style to optimize results; and I possess the right personality dynamics necessary to succeed in demanding, complex business situations.
My work designing and implementing Customer Satisfaction survey initiatives and my full blown appreciation for what constitutes Customer Service Excellence is most relevant in this context of serving Taxpayers very best interests.
I have travelled extensively throughout Canada and the United States on business and exposed myself to the many different ways to get the job done, on time and on budget.
What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
Initiate frequent and meaningful public consultations with Residents Associations, BIA’s and other Community groups; and advocate vigourously when and where appropriate for these groups at City Hall.
Invest considerable time and energy to further canvas opinions of our Taxpayers; and favourably address their REAL, prevailing sources of dissatisfaction and disenchantment.
Collaborate closely with City Hall departments, to support and reinforce their many positive outreach initiatives for our less fortunate residents.
Volunteer to work with Big Brother Big Sisters, within our Ward 28.
Please provide details on your personal bio.
Born and raised in Toronto, I studied Economics and Political Science at Glendon College, York University.
I have been involved in several municipal campaigns since my teens, including my father’s successful bid for Whitby Town Council; I ran as a candidate for Newmarket Town Council in 94; and I have been actively involved in the successful campaigns of others.
I work in Sales, Sales Management and Business Development roles; and own a business consulting practice that designs and implements Customer Satisfaction Survey initiatives.
Who do you plan to support for mayor?
Every sinew of my being is totally and absolutely focused on getting elected as the NEW COUNCILLOR in Toronto’s Ward 28. I can / will be prepared to work in a spirit of cooperation with whomever the good voters of Toronto elect (city wide), as our NEW Mayor.
