What key issues define your campaign platform?
My main key issue is not allowing city hall to continue to behave the way they have the last 4 years, to allow for clear and fair value and transparency of activities and budgets. Eliminating debt and making the taxpayers money pay for services that are essential and make sense for all Torontonians. Eliminating land transfer taxes and removing all other costs added by city hall. Voting on matters that affect our citizens, not political agendas is a big issue for me. But I ran to properly represent ward 30, we pay high taxes and get little in return— TTC buses have awful service running south, our roads are neglected. I want to be the wards biggest Defender, the wards biggest cheerleader sitting in the aisle making the difference. I think this ward could prosper to be a great integral part of our thriving city.

Why are you the best candidate for this position?
City Hall is full of career politicians; I pride myself on my independent title because I am first a ward 30 citizen, I have lived here all my life and the people who live here are not properly represented by the politicians who sit in City Hall. We are artists, parents, young, urban, a mix of ethnicities, a mix of income brackets and this ward deserves to be represented by someone who is this ward and who understands this ward. No more someone living somewhere else deciding what is best for us in our backyards… it hasn’t worked for our ward, it’s time for someone who lives here and is affected by property taxes imposed on us, crimes that happen on our streets, when the police want to house criminals in the empty Film studio; it doesn’t affect the politicians who don’t live here. I LIVE WARD 30!

What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
Let’s start with bringing more business and jobs to the ward, and fostering the industry that already lives here. Film and Television take up lots of space in the ward and allowing the city to help fund or assist in getting projects coming to Toronto and ward 30 would be great. Make effective plans for crime prevention and safety concerns for all areas of the ward. Fixing the Portlands so that it’s a thriving beach area such as the other ones in Toronto, and give the area the dues it deserves.

Please provide details on your personal bio.
I am second daughter to immigrant parents, I attended French public school all my life and am Trilingual (English, French and Greek) because of it. I have worked in the Fashion Industry in multiple sections (Editorial, Photography and Events Production) attended both George Brown and Ryerson University. I am a wife and a mother to 2 little girls, who will also be attending French Public School and just generally an active citizen of Toronto who runs a small jewellery business. I am a vocal mom who wants and is demanding change!

Who do you plan to support for mayor?
At this time I have not committed myself to any candidate and am patiently waiting to hear what policies they will continue to bring forth.
