What key issues define your campaign platform?

Honesty, integrity.

Going door to door, my beliefs were reinforced about the high level of cynicism and apathy in this Ward.

I believe we don’t have the capable “leader’, or the suitable plans, or events to activate and motivate the voters in general to get involved and to help build a better community.

There is no positive image for the “leader” in the ward to listen, to line up and to discuss issues relating to our life.

I want to change that.

Without getting participation, without getting motivated to build a better community there is no way for real change. Crime will not be solved by police alone; business will not thrive without an interested community; best decisions will not be found without proper debates and so on.

Why are you the best candidate for this position?
I am honest, I am decent and I am capable. I am also motivated to give back, to serve the Ward and our neighbourhoods.

I am polite, respectful, helpful and diligent in my nature.

I also have the background to support my claims.

As an Elevator Inspector I am successfully and effectively working with owners, property managers, maintenance companies, general users, complainers and those injured on a daily bases for over 23 years to enhance public safety in mostly downtown and East York area.

My English is not polished, but effective communication does not require the mastery of the language.

What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
* Build interest, hope and faith that we collectively can do great things to improve our life.
* Reach out consistently to reinforce our collective vision.
* Plan scheduled and frequent events (street by street, block by block) to provide platforms for the community to grow.
* Introduce information flow between the City and the Ward. Issues, options, voting and financial records would be made easily available to all to provide personal examples as well.

Please provide details on your personal bio.
Twenty-five years ago I came from Hungary. I am a Provincial Offensive Officer. In this position I inspect elevating and amusement devices for safety standard for almost 24 years.

I held two elected offices. 10 years as a Financial Executive and 2 years as the Toronto Chapter Chair for OACETT (Ontario Association of Certified Technicians and Technologists)

I signed up at the very last minutes for this race. I finance my campaign and I personally deliver all my 20,000 flyer’s at my door to door campaign.

Who do you plan to support for mayor?
In short; none of them! They sound like politicians. I like fiscal discipline though.

I believe we shouldn’t spend more than we have. This anger simplified “cut” or “not cut” shouting is insulting my intelligence, like most voters’.

I don’t want to sell city properties. I don’t want to privatize public works but I would cut bureaucracy starting from the heads. “Fish start to stink from the head” says an old Hungarian proverb and I believe the efficiency deficiency between public and private firms could be tackled by eliminating many “heads” at the City Bureaucracy.
