Why are you the best candidate for this position?
As city Councillor, I will work to restore fiscal responsibility and reduce wasteful spending at city hall. I will set priorities the need of our community so our voice is heard at city hall. I will bring back tax money where they suppose to be, to our ward 31.
What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
Ward 31 has been left behind in services, economic development and community participation in city institutions. Our strategy for change is to focus on the following:
- Business development is the key to overall improvement.
- Improvement of our transit system and modernizing our subways.
- I propose further integration towards efficiency interaction amongst the
representatives of the BIA, city and local entrepreneurs. Its main task will be to:
a. Identify steps to increase investment in Ward 31 to make it more attractive to entrepreneurs.
b. Establish linkages between wider GTA markets with local business outlets.
c. Clean up strip malls to make them neighborhoods destinations by working jointly with the BIA.
