1. What key issues define your campaign platform?
There are many issues, however the lack of growth in the community concerns me greatly. It leaves me wondering about the direction we are moving in. We have become stagnant; for example we have two valuable properties, one off Old Mill Rd on Burnhamill Place and the second on the corner of Lloyd Manor Rd and Firwood Crescent. Both these properties have been vacant for more than four years, and one property for six years. Both these properties could house small upscale communities of 24 single homes or town homes. It invites hundreds of families into our community, this is growth. It creates jobs and it encourages business opportunities. I’m sorry but six years of no vision , no growth, just doesn’t cut it. This is not leadership. Why do we not have a local Business Improvement Association in our ward.

2. Why are you the best candidate for this position?
I am a leader, I am a man of vision. I see things not as they are, but as they should be. I have lived, worked and coached amateur as well as high school teams here in our Ward for more than 25 years. As I go through our community pretty much on a daily basis, I see things in our neighbourhoods that need to be addressed. Especially now that I’m campaigning, going door to door meeting with the people of our community and listening to their issues. These issues range from our seniors being neglected, to what they are getting in return for our tax dollar. In particular our young families feel that the neglect of our parks in general, especially Centennial Park is an area of concern. Developing a junior councillor program in association with our high school seniors will be one of my priorities.

3. What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
First and foremost I plan strong leadership through the process of being more involved in our community, this has been lacking. I will address this issue with town hall meetings every four months. We need to feel the pulse of our community and the only way this can be achieved is by getting into our community and meeting with the residents and creating a Business Improvement Association. Also, having a community report newsletter to keep our residents informed and up to date with the inner works of our community. Please visit www.kudrykforcouncillor.com for more information.

4. Please provide details on your personal bio.
I started my work career in Etobicoke with the Parks and Recreation Department. I went on to play Professional Football in the C.F.L. with the Hamilton Tiger Cats and was on the Grey Cup winning team. Received two athletic achievement awards from the Premier of Ontario. Coached minor league teams in Baseball, Hockey and High School Football in Etobicoke. I was district manager for McGinness Distillers and regional manager for Applied Biochemists. Organized and participated in a Football Clinic at Centennial Park in Etobicoke that ran for 25 years. This is the recipe for a winning team.

5. Who do you plan to support for mayor?
I have not decided who I will support for Mayor though I lean towards Rob Ford because he is a man of grit and determination which is what this City needs.
