2. Why are you the best candidate for this position?
One of the reasons why I am the best candidate for this position is because I have worked for the City of Toronto for the last 24 years and through this experience I have developed a knowledge and expertise of the inner workings of our city. I am a determined individual who believes in public accountability of those that are elected to office. I have excellent leadership skills that I have honed through working with diverse groups of people in Toronto including residents and business owners. I have lived in the community of Etobicoke-Lakeshore for the past 25 years and there have been numerous changes and developments in our ward. I will draw on my knowledge and expertise to tackle these changes.
3. What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
I plan to ensure that the entire ward is represented by promoting discussion about issues which directly and indirectly impact us namely increases in spending, taxes, user fees and services provided by the city. I will promote an Action Plan for current and future growth such as a privately funded Arts and Cultural Centre and Velodrome instead of high rises in the area. This plan will encourage Business and welcome tourism. I will focus upon revitalizing the main corridors by creating BIA’s in the areas, by reinforcing bicycle lanes, adjusted speed limits, implementing eco-energy alternatives such as landscaping and lighting.
4. Please provide details on your personal bio.
I am married and employed by the City of Toronto as a building official for twenty four years currently on a Leave of Absence, a family man and long time volunteer in the Out of the Cold Program. I have coached several teams from various age groups in T-ball, Basketball and Soccer.
5. Who do you plan to support for mayor?
As of yet I am still undecided.
