What key issues define your campaign platform?

The RendAction Plan for the city is:
To abolish the car registration tax.
To abolish the 5 cents tax on shopping bags.
To abolish the land transfer tax.
To cut the council in half to 22 members.
To respect the taxpayer.
To cut the expense budget in half.
To declare the positions of assistants to councillors redundant.
Encourage and educate residents to use the 311 service open 24 hours per day.
To improve customer services.
To allow seniors to use TTC free during slow times.
To allow students to use TTC free during slow times.
To establish day care centres for seniors

Why are you the best candidate for this position?
As a past trustee of the Toronto Public Libraries was instrumental in building the College and Shaw Branch and to Renovate the Dufferin St. Clair Branch and also to adopt a new multicultural policy for the library board.
As Ward 12 Candidate Joe Renda convinced the candidates for mayor at a public meeting during the past elections to endorse and provide the funds to build The York Recreation Centre which would include an indoor soccer field.
As an elected city councillor I can get better results.

What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
Encourage community action.
Take steps to improve customer service at all levels.
Attract new investments that will create employment.
Invest into the arts by building a theatre/library campus in the ward.
Build an indoor soccer field/golf range on the green field at Keele and Ingram.
Build a photography museum in the York Museum.
Fix all the pot holes within two months.
Do a traffic flow study for the whole ward and recommend solutions.
Have monthly town hall meetings at a central location.
Stop sending glossy newsletters at taxpayers expense.
Have a mobile office that will do home visits.

Joe Renda is a graduate of York University in political sciences and social work.
Joe Renda is a graduate of The University of Toronto in industrial and personnel relations.
As the owner/manager of RendAction Management, Joe has taken many courses in business management and income tax preparation.
Joe Renda served as a member of the York University senate while a student.
Joe Renda studied municipal administration at Seneca College and served as student council president.

I am not endorsing anyone. I know all the main candidates and can work with any of them.
