What key issues define your campaign platform?
To reunite our community – Our community needs to be about neighbours and neighbourhoods working together, undivided, to renew our neglected ward by making it a better place for all our residents
To protect our residents’ best interest – We are forcing seniors out of their homes. Seniors are on fixed pensions that increase by mere pennies a year, but their property taxes keep going up. Small business owners have also been burdened with an unfair tax system. All of our residents could benefit from fairly distributed tax dollars, which could be used to improve our entire community
To ensure that Toronto exists beyond the downtown core – City Hall needs to look beyond downtown. Our community pays their fair share of taxes, and our needs are as important as any other ward in this City. It’s time that we had a leader that fights for what we deserve

Why are you the best candidate for this position?
I am the only candidate in this ward that has over twenty years of combined municipal and private sector experience. For over a decade, I worked for three different City Councillors and the City of Toronto Economic Development Office. I understand the importance of building relationships with other levels of government, and senior bureaucrats in the City. My experience at City Hall, coupled with the ten years of private sector experience helped give me the business acumen to understand the need to balance and properly manage budgets. This combination separates me from the other candidates for the job as City Councillor in Ward 12. Most importantly, I have the fullest understanding of the challenges facing our community, and the track record of building consensus while successfully navigating the government landscape. I would be honoured to have the opportunity to work as your City Councillor, and help better our community.

What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
I want to help the residents of our community. I want to work on beatifying our green-spaces and parks, enhance our existing community centres, and make sure that the new community centre gets built on time. I want to help reunite our neighbourhoods by bringing everyone together, which will help us build a stronger, more vibrant community. I want to work on revitalizing our neighbourhood with an effective and efficient transit expansion plan, and create jobs through the proper development of the under-utilized industrial lands in our ward. I want to make a change. I want to make a difference.

Personal bio:
I grew up right here in Ward 12. I went to St. Francis Xavier, Chaminade College, and studied Political Science at York University. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful family with my wife Lory, son Adriano (age 7), and daughter Eliana (age 5). I’ve worked with our youth, coaching youth sports teams, helping kids at the Toronto Police/George Harvey Stone Soup Kitchen, and collaborating on the ‘Rebirth Project’. I have also worked in our community, either through organizing community park clean-ups, providing mobile delivery services for residents in our ward, or procuring equipment for the Falstaff Community Centre’s music room

Who do you plan to support for mayor?
I am willing to work with whichever candidate gets elected as mayor, by helping build consensus towards creating a better Toronto and a better Ward 12. I feel that it’s important to stay impartial regarding the Mayoral race. I can better serve the residents of Ward 12 if I can build awareness of our community’s issues, and work towards solutions with whomever gets elected as mayor of Toronto.
