Ward 33 (Don Valley East)

Basement flooding will hopefully be a thing of the past as several flood mitigation projects are set to begin in Ward 33, which has been plagued by unwanted residential rainwater.

Construction is planned for Godstone Road, Esterbrooke Avenue, Shaughnessy Boulevard and Leith Hill Road and is expected to wrap up in September.

Along with basement flooding, residents have also been concerned with a proposed 131-foot Bell Mobility communications tower at 4800 Leslie St., noting potential health issues.
