1. What key issues define your campaign platform?

1. The Youth — There is a lack of services and programs offered to our children of today. A high percentage of kids are not completing their high school education. The kids are our future and without them, there is no future.
2. Single mothers — Lack of help and support to aid them to succeed and at the same time to perform their duties as a single parent.
3. Businesses — Prevent and help the declining of businesses in the area.  In the last 5 yrs we have lost 35% of our businesses.  We need to focus on the reason  behind this and avoid any re-occurrence.
4. Seniors — We have a lack of community centres and programs
for seniors and services to aid them in everyday life.  The support given is
not nearly enough.

2. Why are you the best candidate for this position?

I will listen and would like the opportunity to act on that. Our community needs someone in council to speak for it, and someone that they can speak to when they have the need. I’d also like to be the voice that speaks for our community’s workers and businesses.
I think what’s missing are the opportunities for people in our community to ask their city for help when they need it. If I’m elected, my first plan is to change that.
But as proud as I am of our successes, I’m equally concerned by our failures.
I think a big reason for this is that our community doesn’t feel comfortable asking for help from the province — simply because we don’t have a voice to speak to.
If I’m elected, I’ll be that voice.

3. What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?

I will definitely work on my platform, which includes several issues that need to be addressed. I will bring back the voice of the community back to city council. I will listen to what the issues are and find a solution and balance between the communities and the city of Toronto.
We’ve established ourselves in this city and now we need to establish ourselves in its government. Another big part of how you succeed in this country is by having the opportunity to speak your mind. I believe this is an important part of improving the community.

4. Please provide details on your personal bio.

Growing up in North York, I came to understand the needs, wishes and sensibilities of so many different cultures.  Those experiences inspired me all through my life; from serving my country as a member of the Air Cadets to serving my community by helping people buy and build homes.
I’ve taken almost every chance afforded to me to volunteer my time and expertise to the community and proud to say that our community is more successful and diverse  because of it.
I see opportunities to give back in an entirely new way, and I hope you’ll give me that chance.

5. Who do you plan to support for mayor?

There are many successful candidates running but my concern is the overspending in the city of Toronto, We need someone that has the knowledge and experience to control this. I would like to see someone that can improve some crucial issues that need to be addressed like the removal of the land transfer tax and car tax, cut  overspending of city hall and bring back a good transit system that will help our city grow.
