1. What key issues define your campaign platform?
Stop Tax Increases , User fees, and License fees
Cut costs by reducing inefficiencies and duplication
Increase Police presence to Reduce crime and make our neighbourhoods safer
Greater assistance , for the elderly , pensioners and the Handicapped
Improve our parks, playgrounds and Community Centre’s so everyone in the community benefits
I believe there is more than enough money to make these things possible by correcting the flaws that exist today.
2. Why are you the best candidate for this position?
I feel I am the best Candidate because I live in the ward I want to represent . I know the issues that effect my community, because I am directly effected by what happens here in ward 9 , I have a vested interest to improve our ward and to achieve the goals set out by our residents which will benefit my community and family directly.Many of the residents living near the Sunrise Propane Facility complained to the Councillor in Ward 9,
I wonder If our councillor had lived across the street from this facility if there might not have been greater scrutiny invested.
3. What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
I will work with city council and other levels of Government to direct more funds to be used for the assistance of the elderly and the handicapped.
I will work with employers to create Jobs.
I will work to make our community cleaner, safer and more pleasant for everybody that lives here.
I will fight to stop Tax increases and User Fees, we pay more taxes today than ever before and receive fewer services. This must stop, the citizens cannot bear this overwhelming burden any longer along with poor decisions being made at City Hall.

My name is Gianfranco Amendola
I have lived in Ward 9 for more than 30 years
I have 25 years of experience as an owner / operator of a food manufacturing business we supply local retailers as well as chain supermarkets in the Ontario.
I know how to work within a budget and I know how to accomplish what needs to be done .I have Business experience having handled the accounting and banking needs of our company. I am
I am running for councillor in ward 9 and would like to represent my community. I will bring Integrity , Honesty and Accountability back to the position of councillor.
We have watched taxes rise and services decline, as a resident I feel we deserve much better than this.
I will fight to make things better for all of the residents of the community.
5. Who do you plan to support for mayor?
I would support Rob Ford as Mayor. I believe we are headed in the wrong direction in this City with politicians that make decisions we cannot afford. We need greater Accountability and Transparency from the our City Officials, We need to work together with taxpayers to provide affordable services. We must ensure the best services are provided while working within a budget.
