What key issues define your campaign platform?
1. Fiscal responsibility and our financial wellbeing:
Ensure total transparency at City Hall get spending under control.
Freeze or decrease taxes (e.g. property taxes).
Abolish such unfair taxes as the Vehicle Registration Tax and the Land Transfer Tax
2. Environmental issues:
Stop development at the Quarry Lands and erection of wind farms in Lake Ontario.
Preserve and maintain our Beautiful Ward 36 Green Belt.
Convert green spaces in the ward into lovely public parks.
Retain the entire existing green space along the south side of the CN railway line right across the ward, and prevent it from being developed.
3. Transportation
Effectively deal with congestion and gridlock on the roads in the ward.
Making the TTC an essential service.
I’m strongly in favour of extending subways and support the “Get Toronto Moving” well-balanced transportation plan.
Why are you the best candidate for this position?
Here is how I’m different from several other candidates: instead of giving populist promises without any knowledge of how to accomplish it, I don’t only have very concrete solutions to most of the burning issues in our community but know how exactly the issues can be solved. I’m following your wishes and concerns that you, as residents, expressed during our numerous discussions. And this, in my opinion, makes the real difference between jeopardizing our future by electing someone who is passionate but an amateur, or voting for a professional who knows how to make things done. Voting for Roman Danilov, you vote for someone who has your vested interests at heart and will effectively protect them at all levels, someone who listens and knows how to ensure your well being.
What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
Keep all the promises I made and take immediate action.

Who do you plan to support for mayor?
As a citizen and resident of Toronto, I do have my preferences. However, as a future city councillor I strongly oppose the idea of publicly endorsing any of the mayoral candidates. Why? As a professional, I know how important it is to be an ambassador of every resident in our beautiful ward, no matter what his or her race, gender or political affiliations are. On the other hand, I’m always happy to discuss what kind of measures I’m supporting and going to implement as city councillor. By the way, you can find it explained in details under “Issues” on my website.
