What key issues define your campaign platform?
Some of the most crucial issues are identified as, inadequate lighting which leaves residents unable to navigate to their dwellings. Property requiring improvement due to vandalism, damage and age. The recent recession and budget cuts have caused layoffs therefore maintaining and acquiring employment is difficult. Tax increases have affected the cost of daycare and its accessibility.
· Improved lighting within the community as well as bicycle safety for pedestrians and cyclists this can be achieved through setting up station for bike repair and education also collaborating with the city to improve lighting
·Improving and maintaining property along with beautification and cleanliness in community this can be achieved by engaging in conversation with property managers to develop community based strategies
· Further employment opportunities and supports this can be achieved by exploring innovative ways of generating income through community books and patenting community ideas
Why are you the best candidate for this position?
Caldwell Williams is a young, vibrant resident of Scarborough-Agincourt, who has lived in this community, with his family, for the past 13 years. For the past 7 years Caldwell has been engaged in community work assisting the most vulnerable in Scarborough-Agincourt. Caldwell has assisted youth in the community by creating youth development opportunities and addressing issues pertaining to breaking down barriers. Caldwell has organized and promoted events to unify youth within Steels-L’Amoreaux area. Caldwell is running in this municipal election to bring a new voice and fresh ideas to city council, while advocating for the residence of Scarborough-Agincourt. Caldwell believes in community-based solutions. He is committed to being a strong advocate for community safety.
What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
Increase employment this is done by getting employers to hire local residents.
Establishing suitable cost for childcare by readjusting existing frameworks.
Promoting public safety by taking an inventory on all the lights in the ward the require maintenance also speaking with chief of police and have the officer walk through the community and building relationships with the residents.
Creating sustainable youth programming and services that teach life skills so youth are more equipped to give back to the economy in addition devising senior programs and services that keep seniors involved in community.

Caldwell has been recognized for his commitment to his community and youth. He as received the Award of Excellence in Social Responsibility, Anti-Racism, Multiculturalism, Peace Principles; Certificate of Participation in the YMCA Youth Exchange Canada and Canada Youth Day Award.

At this point and time Caldwell has not made any definite decision as to which mayoral candidate he will be supporting.
