Ward 41 (Scarborough-Rouge River)

Businesses and residents in this north Scarborough ward will have to face a test of patience over the next three years as the Sheppard East Light-Rail Transit Line is built across it.
Other municipal election issues in the ward this year include planned shopping centre developments that could could add to traffic congestion on Steeles Avenue.
In the southern end of the ward, a redevelopment proposal for a long-standing neighbourhood mall, Chartwell Shopping Centre on Huntingwood Drive, raised concerns of area residents.
Pedestrian safety on the roads and a loss of industrial land to other uses are also concerns in the ward.
