What key issues define your campaign platform?
-To reduce the high school drop out rate
-Improve existing TTC routes and services to newly developed communities
-Reduce crime by providing more inclusive social programs and stronger community involvement
-Monthly tax rebates for low income families that need financial assistance
-Increased pre-school and child care facilities that are up to metro services standards
-Stronger voter participation by the community
-Maintaining clean beautiful neighbourhoods and communities
-Building schools to keep up with the demand of a quickly growing population
-Increased supply of food banks and services for those that need it
-Greater accountability for the tax dollars spent at city hall

Why are you the best candidate for this position?
I understand people, I care about this city and I am determined to get things done for the benefit of the community.  I was born in Toronto and my parents were immigrants so I understand the needs of newcomers.  As a university student I believe in strong relevant education, and relate with young people’s aspirations for a better city socially and economically.  I’ve been an entrepreneur for 17 years and understand the need for accessible and affordable commercial properties.  As a sole-provider single father of two I am an advocate for affordable daycare and extra curricular activities.  I’ve lived with and cared for people who are disabled and want to see more programs available to assist them.  As a youth mentor I have worked extensively in low-income communities and know that social programs are the most effective crime prevention tool.

What specifically do you plan to do for your ward, if elected?
I plan to increase the Nugget 131 bus service and others in the ward to a more frequent 24 hour route.  Look into the delay of the planned schools in the area that have not been built.  Encourage businesses especially grocery stores to set up in highly populated communities as there is an absence of grocery stores within walking distance of many homes.  Make sure all residential areas and parks in the ward are well lit.
